GNM Nursing Course Types

The three most popular GNM versions in India are Basic, Post-Basic, and Distance GNM.

1.) Basic GNM

Basic GNM is a bachelor's degree programme which prepares students to develop nursing skills and knowledge to provide comprehensive nursing care to patients suffering from a wide range of disorders. The programme is designed to produce general nurses capable of working effectively as members of a health care team in a variety of hospitals as well as other organisations.

To be eligible for the three-year degree, candidates must have completed class 12th in a scientific stream with 40% minimum marks.Applicants must also have age between 17 and 35. In addition, every student should be medically fit.

2.) Post-Basic GNM
