NIOS Admission 2024, All Learners/Students who appeared in the exam but could not pass, or those students who were eligible but passed Secondary/Senior Secondary (10th or 12th), could not appear in the public examination.
The learners of NIOS Admission will be eligible to appear in the Secondary / Senior Secondary Public Examination of NIOS September-October, 2024 on the basis of the original failed marksheet / admit card (Hall Ticket) of the respective Boards. The Provisional Certificate, Migration cum Transfer Certificate and Passing Certificate will be provided to the successful learners in the year 2024 in Stream 2 of the NIOS Board Marksheet.
The learners registered under Stream 2 will be eligible for TOC ( Transfer Of Credit) as per the guidelines and conditions given in the NIOS prospectus. Eligibility Criteria - NIOS Admission 2024
Class 10th (Secondary)
- The minimum age for taking admission in Secondary course is 14 years as on 31st January of the current year (for details, see brochure)
- A learner who has passed class VIII and who has valid proof of having attained the age of 14 years can apply for registration in the secondary course.
- A learner who gives a self-certificate "I have studied well enough to be able to pursue the Secondary Course" is also eligible for admission to the Secondary Course.
- A learner who has studied at secondary level can also take admission in NIOS to complete his course or to improve his performance.
- Senior Secondary: The minimum age for taking admission in Senior Secondary course is 15 years as on 31st January of the current year (for details, see prospectus)
- To take admission in higher secondary course, the learner must have passed the secondary course from a recognized board.

First of all read the instructions carefully. After reading the instructions click on the "Register" button. It will display some other important instructions and an announcement. Read the instructions and then click on proceed. If the learner does not want to continue with the process, he/she can click on the Cancel button.
At the time of registration, you have to take care of some other things as well. You should know whether you have to take admission in stream 1 or stream 2, by doing so your deposited fees will not be refunded under any circumstances. That's why you have to be very careful at the time of admission.

8. Fail Mark sheet of previous Board, failing which Transfer of Credit (TOC) marks will not be updated in NIOS result. If TOC Board marked with (*Other) is selected then the Result should be available on the Concerned Board Website or Learner has to submit result verification letter from Concerned Board as per NIOS norms.
Transfer of credit (Toc)
Pre-Secondary/Senior Secondary learners of the following Boards of School Education who have passed in at least one subject but not qualified in the course can take admission in the concerned course in NIOS and avail the facility of TOC. A learner should obtain Transfer of Credit (TOC) at the time of admission in the subjects included in the scheme of studies of NIOS. Learners who had applied for Transfer of Credit (TOC) have to send the original failed mark sheet mentioning the reference number on the back of the mark sheet to the concerned Regional Centre.
